How to raise an invoice from timesheets

Use this when you want Scopra to build invoice line items from project timesheets for a specific billing period.

Before you start

You need a role that can create invoices, such as Admin, Finance, or Project Admin.

The project must already have approved timesheets in the date range you want to bill.

Raise the invoice

  1. Go to Projects.
  2. Open the project you want to bill.
  3. Select Invoices.
  4. Select Raise invoice.
  5. Confirm the Client and Project.
  6. Set Select timesheets from date range to the period you want to invoice.
  7. Select Populate from timesheets.
  8. Enter the Title (internal use only).
  9. Enter Reference / PO number if the client requires it.
  10. Choose the Type.
  11. Confirm the Currency.
  12. Set the Invoice date.
  13. Set the Due date if you need one.
  14. Review the generated Line items and update them if needed.
  15. Enter Description or Notes for finance if you need them.
  16. Select Save invoice.

What gets included

Scopra generates invoice line items from approved timesheets in the selected project and date range.

Note: Approved billable overtime in the same date range is also included when Scopra builds the line items.

What happens next

Scopra creates the invoice and adds it to the project’s Invoices tab. The generated line items keep the linked timesheet date range for reference.
